Haneda has one post office, and it is in Terminal 1 on the 1st floor. It is open weekdays only, 9:00–17:00, and closed on weekends and public holidays.
Most international flights land at Terminal 3. Getting to Terminal 1 takes roughly 10 to 20 minutes on the free inter-terminal shuttle, so the practical question is not where but whether your flight gives you enough time.

Does Haneda Airport have free WiFi?
Yes. Haneda offers free wireless internet across all three terminals, and you do not need to register an account to connect. It is enough for checking a train time or sending a message before you leave the building.
What it is not good for is the part of your trip that comes next. The moment you step onto the monorail or into a taxi, the airport network is gone. That gap between the arrival gate and your hotel is where most travellers actually feel the lack of a connection: reading transfer information, confirming an address in Japanese, letting someone know you have landed, or working out which exit to take at a station you have never seen before.
That is the reason to arrange a connection before you land rather than after.

Haneda's terminals are separate buildings, and the post office is only in one of them.

The free inter-terminal shuttle
Haneda runs a free connecting bus between all three terminals. It leaves roughly every 4 minutes between 5:00 and 20:00, and roughly every 8 minutes from 20:00 to midnight. Buses from Terminal 3 stop at Terminal 1 first, then Terminal 2. Stops are on the arrival or departure level of each building and are well signposted.
The Keikyu line and the Tokyo Monorail also connect the terminals in two to five minutes, but both are paid services. Unless you are in a real hurry, the free bus is the simpler choice with luggage.
Haneda hands out free inter-terminal transfer tickets for the train, but only to passengers connecting between flights. If you have just arrived and are leaving the airport, you are not eligible, so plan on the free bus or a paid ticket.
How to collect your device
- Order before you fly and choose the Haneda post office as your pickup point. This is a pre-order service, not a walk-up counter, so the device has to be sent ahead of you.
- Enter your name exactly as it appears in your passport. If the name on the package does not match your ID, the post office will not release it. This is the single most common reason a pickup fails.
- Keep the tracking number. It arrives in the delivery information email once the package ships, and it is also visible in My Page.
- Go to Terminal 1, 1st floor. Show your passport and give the tracking or order number at the counter.
- Check the contents before you leave the counter. Your package should contain the device, an AC adapter, a cable, and a prepaid return envelope. Keep the envelope — you will need it at the end of your trip.
Will you actually make it in time?
This is worth working out before you book, not after you land. The counter closes at 17:00 on weekdays and does not open at all on weekends or public holidays.

Immigration and baggage claim alone can take 45 minutes to well over an hour at Haneda, depending on when your flight lands. Add the shuttle and the walk, and a 16:00 landing rarely leaves enough room.

Nothing here requires you to give up on having a connection from day one. It changes where the package waits for you, not whether you get one.
A post office near your hotel
Any post office in Japan can be your delivery address. Many in central Tokyo keep longer hours than the airport branch, and some are open around the clock. Good if you land in the evening but stay in the city for several nights. Bring your passport.
Delivery to your hotel
The package goes to the front desk and you collect it at check-in. The recipient name must match your hotel booking name exactly, and it helps to tell the hotel a package is coming. Easiest if you are going straight to the hotel.
Delivery to an apartment
The package goes into the mailbox, so the address must be complete including the room number, and the name has to be one the carrier recognises at that address. For short-term rentals, a nearby post office is usually less trouble.

Returning the device at Haneda
- Put the device, adapter and cable into the prepaid return envelope and seal it. Nothing else needs to go in.
- Drop it into any red postbox. There are postboxes in the Haneda terminals, and near stations throughout Japan.
- There are no postboxes past security, so post it before you go through.
- Do not hand it to hotel or airport staff to post for you. If it does not arrive, the charges fall to you.
